Our Electrical Courses
This is how we split our course into 3 stages:
Stage 1: Online Learning – Core Electrical Theory
Learners begin with a series of flexible online modules that introduce essential concepts in electrical installation and safety. This self-paced stage provides the foundational knowledge required to move confidently into hands-on training.
You’ll cover:
Electrical principles and wiring regulations
Circuit design and installation basics
Safety legislation and risk management (inc. BS 7671 / 18th Edition)
Cable types, uses, and current-carrying capacity
Inspection, testing, and fault finding fundamentals
Why it’s important:
By learning theory online, students can study when it suits them best — ideal for fitting around work or family life. This phase ensures that learners enter practical sessions prepared and ready to apply their knowledge safely and effectively.
Stage 2: Practical Training – Real-World Electrical Skills
This stage takes place in our fully equipped training centres. Under the supervision of qualified instructors, learners develop the practical skills needed to install, test, and maintain electrical systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.
You’ll gain experience in:
Installing consumer units, sockets, switches, and lighting circuits
Conducting insulation and continuity tests
Earthing and bonding procedures
Fault diagnosis and safe rectification
Complying with wiring standards and documentation
Why it’s important:
Electricians must be confident and competent when working in the field. This practical training ensures you’re job-ready with the tools, techniques, and hands-on experience employers are looking for.
Stage 3: Career Support & Employment Guidance
The final stage focuses on helping you transition from training to employment. Whether you’re aiming to work for a company or go self-employed, our careers team is here to support your goals.
Our career support includes:
Help completing your work-based portfolio (where applicable)
CV writing and interview coaching
Introduction to local and national electrical employers
Guidance on registering with regulatory bodies (e.g. NICEIC, NAPIT)
Up to 3 years of continued job search and development support
Why it’s important:
Obtaining a qualification is only part of the journey. Our aim is to ensure you’re not just trained — but employed and progressing. This final phase ensures you’re equipped with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to launch a successful career in the electrical trade.
