Our Gas Courses
This is how we split our course into 3 stages:
Stage 1: Online Learning – Foundation of Knowledge
In the first phase, learners complete a series of structured online modules that cover essential gas engineering theory, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
You’ll learn:
Gas safety principles & legislation (Gas Safe Register requirements)
Combustion, ventilation, flues & gas appliance types
Pipework installation, testing & purging
Health & Safety in gas engineering environments
Why it’s important:
By completing this theory element online, students can study at their own pace and fit their learning around existing commitments. This stage ensures that learners enter the practical sessions with a solid understanding of core concepts, enhancing their hands-on performance.
Stage 2: Practical Training – Hands-On Technical Skills
This intensive, in-centre stage takes place at our fully equipped training facilities. Under the guidance of experienced, qualified instructors, learners will apply their theory in real-world scenarios using industry-standard tools and equipment.
You’ll gain experience in:
Installing and servicing gas appliances (boilers, cookers, heaters)
Pipework installation and pressure testing
Fault finding and system diagnosis
Conducting gas safety checks and commissioning appliances
Why it’s important:
Practical experience is vital for competence and confidence. This stage is designed to mirror real-world working conditions, giving learners the opportunity to develop technical proficiency and prepare for their portfolio placements and assessments.
Stage 3: Career Support & Employment Guidance
The final stage is focused on employability. We support each learner through the process of completing their Gas Safe portfolio, gaining work experience, and securing employment or launching a self-employed career.
Our career support includes:
Guaranteed portfolio placement with approved engineers
1-on-1 CV and interview coaching
Gas Safe registration guidance
Introductions to employers and contractors
Business setup advice for aspiring self-employed engineers
Why it’s important:
Industry qualifications are only the beginning — the goal is long-term employment and success. This stage ensures you’re not left on your own after qualifying. Our team will help you transition from learner to professional with confidence and direction.
